Western Sydney Arts Sector Responds to NSW Government Stimulus Package for the Arts

The COVID-19 impact has seen Western Sydney’s arts organisations losing between 60% and 100% of self-generated income from ticket sales, tours, education program, hospitality and venue hire. Everyday local citizens fought hard for the creation of this vital local arts ecology. We can’t see our region lose its creative life-force in this crisis and we urge the government to remember Western Sydney’s small to medium sector and local government-run arts centres, theatres, galleries and studios and ensure they are supported during this crisis.
